Arkansas Academic Challenge
This is the third year the state of Arkansas has offered the Academic Challenge funded by the state lottery. The Academic Challenge will be awarded in the amount of $4,500 per year for qualified students attending 4-year universities. The Academic Challenge has three separate awarding categories. Arkansas graduates in 2012 and current students (achievers) will all need to apply for consideration. In some cases, recent Arkansas residents and current UA students may be eligible as current achievers. The state of Arkansas scholarship deadline for the fall 2012 semester has passed.
If you wish to read about the various aid programs Arkansas offers, you will find the information on the state website under “Find Money for College”. If you have questions regarding your application process, please feel free to call ADHE (1-800-54-STUDY) or send an email to ADHE_Info@adhe.edu. Please explore as many financial aid and scholarship opportunities as you can.
If you did not apply for the Arkansas Academic Challenge scholarship in time for the 2012-2013 year, be sure to fill it out for the 2013-2014 academic year. The applications should be available February 2013 and will remain available until the deadline of June 1, 2013. Below are instructions on how to apply for the state of Arkansas scholarships.
