The Office of Financial Aid is implementing a new series of free seminars to equip students with knowledge and skills necessary to manage personal and educational finances in order to complete educational goals. Topics the series will address include budgeting, checking account management, student loan repayment, credit card management, and scholarships. All students are invited and encouraged to attend these seminars. New seminar dates, seminar information, and materials will be posted here.
University organizations and faculty can also request specialized presentations on financial matters for events or classes. Please see the list of College Seminars for more information.

Arkansas Academic Challenge
Arkansas Academic Challenge — Wednesday, September 05, 2012
This is the third year the state of Arkansas has offered the Academic Challenge funded by the state lottery. The Academic Challenge will be awarded in the amount of $4,500 per year for qualified students attending 4-year universities. The Academic Challenge has three separate awarding categories. Arkansas graduates in 2012 and current students (achievers) will all need to apply for consideration. In some cases, recent Arkansas residents and current UA students may be eligible as current achievers. The state of Arkansas scholarship deadline for the fall 2012 semester has passed.

If you have questions regarding your application process, please feel free to call ADHE (1-800-54-STUDY) or send an email to ADHE_Info@adhe.edu. Please explore as many financial aid and scholarship opportunities as you can.
If you did not apply for the Arkansas Academic Challenge scholarship in time for the 2012-2013 year, be sure to fill it out for the 2013-2014 academic year. The applications should be available February 2013 and will remain available until the deadline of June 1, 2013. Below are instructions on how to apply for the state of Arkansas scholarships.
