Please review the Path to Financial Aid Success which can also be found by accessing ISIS and navigating to Student Center --> Finances --> Required Reading. The Path to Financial Aid Success includes the links on Loan Processing Information, Understanding Terms on the Award Notice, Work Study, and Terms and Conditions.

Please read carefully:

1. Financial Aid Notification will only be mailed in paper form at the time of the initial award. Other notifications will be sent by email. The email will direct you to access Self-Service and to view the new package of aid. To access Self-Service, please go to isis.uark.edu (ISIS) and follow the path Student Center > Finances. This path may be used to accept or decline your award, view To Do List, and other links relating to Financial Aid. Your ISIS login is your email address without the @uark.edu.

2. Please check your email or Self-Service frequently to view your current award. Email accounts are given to all students at time of admission. For students who have not accessed their email account, please navigate your browser to http://uits.uark.edu/newaccount/index.htm and follow the instructions.

3. Often students become aware of aid that they will receive from sources other than those listed on the Financial Aid Notification. As you become aware of such awards (scholarships, graduate assistantships, vocational rehabilitation, resident assistant, etc.), please notify us so that we may update your award. You may notify us by going to Self-Service, Accept/Decline your aid, choose your aid year, and request Counselor Action. We will receive your notification and add it to your Financial Aid package. After updating your information you should receive a new notification by Email. Please contact your counselor if you do not receive notification of new award.

4. Be sure that you are degree seeking and enrolled at least half-time to receive most federal aid. Pre-register for your planned enrollment avoiding drops and adds after disbursements begin. Disbursements made through the first eleven days of classes will be based on the actual enrollment. After the eleventh class day, awards and disbursements will be made based on the eleventh day enrollment, unless a student withdraws. A class must be added in ISIS before the eleventh day of classes for you to receive credit for financial aid disbursements. All state aid disbursements are based on enrollment on the eleventh class day.

5. Verify that your address is current with the Cashier’s Office so that any financial aid refunds will be sent to the correct address. If your lender doesn’t participate in electronic funds transfer with the University of Arkansas, your check will be available at the Student Accounts Office in Silas Hunt Hall, Room 101. All lenders that disburse using Student Loan Guarantee Foundation of Arkansas and Sallie Mae participate in electronic funds transfer. If you are in doubt about your lender, contact them to verify their disbursement method with the University of Arkansas.

Note: If you are or become incarcerated, please contact the Financial Aid Office at (479) 575-3806 and decline all Federal Aid.
