Office of Financial Aid

Updated 01/14/21: The U.S. Department of Education has not provided guidance for use of funds to students from the December 28, 2020 Coronavirus Relief Package. When implantation plans are in place the university will provide a campus-wide announcement with instructions.

The Financial Aid Office is open, but for your safety and ours we are not accepting walk-in appointments. Students may schedule a virtual appointment via Student Success in Blackboard. See our COVID-19 FAQ page for updates on Financial Aid policies, including the Fall 2020 grading policy.

You can still stay in touch via finaid@uark.edu or 479-575-3806. Please remember, all messages should include your full name, UA ID number, and a brief description of your question. Most financial aid questions can be answered via Razorbot or this website. Billing and refund information is at the Treasurer's Office.

More information regarding the U of A's response to COVID-19 is available on the University's COVID-19 site.

The University of Arkansas Office of Financial Aid is located at 114 Silas Hunt Hall. Hunt Hall is on the corner of Maple and Garland across from the Pat Walker Health Center.

How do I apply for Federal and State Financial Aid?

Step 1: Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to determine eligibility. Visit fafsa.gov to get started. Note: This application is FREE and required for federal, state, and certain scholarship opportunities.

Step 2: Enroll in and begin classes. Financial aid eligibility is determined based on a student's enrollment on the term's census date. Fall and Spring censuses dates fall on the 11th day (in-service, business day) from the beginning of the term. If you have any questions regarding enrollment changes and how your aid could be affected, please contact your counselor.
