Financial Aid Timeline
The Office of Financial Aid is committed to assisting all students by providing timely and accurate financial aid information. Our aim is to create the best possible experience for each individual, ensuring that all eligible students benefit from available resources.
Please refer to the timeline of important dates below for guidance regarding your financial aid and scholarship process.
Mid-July: Scholarship Application Opens
The scholarship application opens for new students along with the application for admission to the University of Arkansas. Submit an application for admission in order to apply for academic scholarships.
October 01: State Aid Opens
The State Aid Application opens for Arkansas residents.
October 15: New Transfer Scholarship Deadline
Scholarship deadline for New Transfer Students who will be enrolling in the upcoming spring semester.
November 15: Scholarship Priority Deadline
Deadline for New Freshmen to submit the application for priority consideration for academic scholarships.
December 01: FAFSA Opens
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opens for the upcoming aid year.
January: College and Departmental Scholarships. New Freshmen Priority Offers
January 1:The application for college and departmental scholarships opens.
3rd Week of January: New Freshmen priority round scholarship offers are announced.
February 01: New Freshman Application Deadline
Final deadline for the New Freshmen academic scholarship application.
February 15: Deadline for College and Departmental Scholarship Applications
The application for college and departmental scholarships closes.
April 01: New Transfer Scholarship Deadline
Scholarship deadline for New Transfer Students who will be enrolling in the upcoming summer and fall semesters.
June: Financial Aid Begins Posting
Financial Aid begins posting to student UAConnect accounts.
Financial Aid announcements for new students begin via mail with instructions for accepting your aid.
July: State Aid Application Deadline. Billing Begins
Deadline to apply for Arkansas State Aid. Some state programs may have earlier deadlines.
The Treasurer's Office begins billing for fall semester. Payment plans open, with payment due by the 5th day of class unless a payment plan is established with Student Accounts.
August 01: State Aid Posting
The Financial Aid Office starts receiving rosters from ADHE (Governor's Challenge) and begins posting to student aid accounts.
Mid-August: External Funding begins Posting
Funding from scholarship sources outside of the University of Arkansas begin posting to the student account as they are received and processed by the Treasurer's Office.
Other Aid Sources
University of Arkansas Employee/Dependent waivers, VA/military , other third-party payments will begin posting after the 11th day of class each semester.
