Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Program

Information regarding the University of Arkansas’ Substance Education and Alcohol Resources can be found at the Division of Student Affairs website and in the U of A's annual security report.  Interested parties will find the institution's Drug-Free Workplace Policy in the staff handbook and in the annual security report.  Please visit Pat Walker Health Center for other drug and alcohol resources.  See also the Federal Student Aid site for additional information on drug convictions and the possible impact on federal student aid.  Students must pledge to remain drug-free or risk losing Arkansas Department of Higher Education funding such as the Arkansas Academic Scholarship.

Vaccination Policies

The State of Arkansas requires that all new students comply with the two-dose measles immunization policy. The University of Arkansas enforces those requirements. University-related immunization information is available on the Pat Walker Health Center website.

Campus Security Policies, Crime Statistics, Crime Log, Emergency Preparedness, and Missing Person Notifications 

The women and men of the University of Arkansas Police Department, in partnership with the community they serve, are committed to protecting the future of Arkansas by promoting a safe and secure environment through excellence, initiative, and integrity.

The campus community will find information regarding the campus security policies and the UA Police Department on that department’s website.  The University's policy and procedures regarding sexual assault and sexual harassment can be found  at Fayetteville Policies and Procedures 418.1.

The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act requires that an annual security report be distributed to all current faculty, staff, and students, and notice made of its availability to prospective students, faculty, and staff. The annual security report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville campus, and on public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and the like.

Fire Safety Policies, Fire Statistics, and Fire Log (On–Campus Housing Facilities)

Fire safety policies are located on the website for the Office of Environmental Health and Safety. The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy Campus Crime Statistics Report and Annual Fire Safety Report  provide the annual campus fire statistics. The campus community will find the fire log on the UA Police Department website.
